Sasa’s passion for pottery began more than 23 years ago in London, where she took classes with Helena Giras. From 2000-2016 Sasa studied with Barbara Campbell-Allen (OAM) at the Workshop Art Centre in Sydney, where she became Technical Assistant and Studio Manager for ceramics. During that time Sasa participated in many group and solo ceramic and art exhibitions. Sasa further developed and refined her ceramic technical skills and personal practice at Northern Beaches Tafe. Sasa’s striving for excellence is evident in all of her pieces.

In 2016 Sasa moved with her family from the Northern beaches of Sydney to the green valleys of Byron Hinterland. Before realising the dream of her own studio, Sasa was fortunate to work in the beautiful studio space of fellow ceramicist, Karen Jennings. This allowed Sasa to continue her work and become established in the vibrant local Northern Rivers pottery community.

Sasa’s custom-built studio is now complete. She works full time at her studio and runs workshops there to share her extensive knowledge and experience of ceramics.

‘My dream of one day having my own studio at home has come true! The entire making process now happens in my studio. Each piece is made with my hands, using my distinctive custom-made ash glaze and fired in my electric kiln.’

Sasa’s sensual sculptural forms invite the viewer to engage in a tactile response. Since 2012 Sasa has expanded and developed a range of now sought after unique functional tableware.
