Woven Basket

These woven treasure baskets with the traditional name of ‘Baky’ are produced by local artisans from the province of Malang in East Java. The baskets are created from the bark of Palm trees for explain coconut and bamboo. The baskets were used in villages throughout East Java to store dry ingredients in such as potatoes, tobacco leaf and eggs. Each piece is hand made and has its own unique individual characteristics.
