The Perlina Vase is mouth blown from Borosilicate glass and has up to 7 glass pearls randomly placed in it.
Borosilicate glass is well known for its durability and resistance to thermal shock. Having constituents including silica and boron oxide, borosilicate glass has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion and a melting point much higher than ordinary glass (over 815 degrees C). It contains no lead. With its superior durability, chemical and heat resistance, borosilicate glass is often used for scientific laboratory equipment, optical and lighting applications, as well as in glass cookware.
Small Vase: 14cm tall with 7cm opening
Large Vase: 23cm tall with 7cm opening
Care: This vase is dishwasher safe. It will be unaffected by the heat or detergent in the dishwasher, however care should be taken as the glass is lightweight and can possibly be lifted from the rack by water jets from below.
We recommend half filling your vase with water before adding your floral arrangement.
Lift or carry your vase from the sides and bottom rather than from the lip, especially when filled with water.
While the glasses are resistant to thermal shock, they are thin-walled. Therefore we recommend adding ice only after liquid is already in the glass and adding the ice by hand rather than from a refrigerator's ice machine.
